The next morning everyone made wide eyes when Kira appeared at work.
He wore one of Hisagis Uniforms, because the other one hadn't allowed him to leave while it rained and in the morning his uniform had still be soaked. Not completly, but still everything was wet.
He hadn't had enough time to get home before heading for work, so now he was wearing sleeveless Kimono and a pair of Hakama. Both was a bit long and wide, but Kira didn't care and just moved a bit more cautiously, so he wouldn't trip.
Meanwhile Hisagi just had his usual routine, though he still had pictures of Kira moving around in his mind. Manyly Kira standing in the park, beneath the shower and wearing his Kimono, looking absolutely adorable. Which he hadn't told him, of course.

Without them noticing the rumours about their relationship spread through Soul Society. Everyone knew that Kira and Hisagi knew each other since academy days and met frequently. They weren't the only ones to do so, but lately they were seen more often and some also said that Kira had slept at Hisagis. And now everybody went along with it and believed the two of them were in a relationship.
The content smile tugging on Kiras lips when he wore Hisagis Uniform and Hisagis far better mood as soon as Kira was back from his mission, didn't really help to stop the gossip.

Also their close friends were speculating about them. Especially Abarai and Hinamori were wondering if the two of them finally understood what they felt, because they had already realized how things were and just waited for them to get together.
But they weren't sure so the decided to take things into their hands and, if needed, spped things a bit up.
So for the next weekend Abarai invited Hisagi to a little drinking tour while Hinamori asked Kira out for some tea. They liked to share a cup every so often.

~~~~~~~~~*~~~~~~~~
When Hisagi arrived at the bar where he wanted to meet Abarai he was a bit stressed out because he had had a few very busy days and hadn't had time to meet Kira...Though he wouldn't admit the last reason to everyone but himself.
Abarai already waited for him and, in fact, had already started with his first small cup of sake when Hisagi entered.
The elder quickly spotted the redhead sitting at a table a bottle of sake and two cups in front of him.
He sat down across from Abarai and greeted him shortly, still caught up in his own thoughts.
It took Abarai quite some time...and a lot of sake...to get Hisagis mind off of all the troublesome things bothering him, so he could enjoy the evening. That they would some time later come back to those themes wasn't important right now.
At the same time Kira and Hinamori met in a peaceful little tea-house, where they had reserved a table. The table was set in a corner of the room so they could drink there without being disturbed.
They ordered tea and some biscuits and pastries while talking about nothing in particular, just their usual day routine, the divisitions work, their taichou...
About two hours, and quite some bottles of sake later, Abarai finally had Hisagi relaxed and talking about everything under the sun.
Finally he took his chance and simply got things to the point: “So, what's going on between the two of you?”
Hisagi was stunned and he didn't realize what Abarai was talking about. “What do you mean? The two of us? There is noone else here...”
Abarai shook his head and grinned: “Kira-kun and you. Who else?”
“Kira-kun?” Hisagis face fell and he sighted. “Nothing's going on between us.”
“You don't like that.”, Abarai simply stated, not bothering to phrase a question.
Hesitantly Hisagi nodded, but didn't say something.
“So what do you want? Want him to be yours?”, Abarai asked, no longer grinning but with a serious expression.
“Yeah. I want him....love him...”, he added hesitantly after a few seconds.
Abarai nodded and then asked: “So why don't you tell him?”
Hisagi shook his head: “Isn't it obvious? He wouldn't want me, so he'd turn away from me and I wouldn't be able to see him again like we do now.”
“Moron.”, was Abarais only response, quickly followed by: “And how do you know he'll turn you down?”
Hisagi didn't know what to say, so he simply said nothing and kept looking sad.
“Oh come an Hisagi-kun. I didn't though you'd give up that easily. Simply go on and tell him. I'm sure he'll return your feelings.”
Not it was Hisagis turn to ask: “How do you know he'll not turn be down?”
“I feel it.”, Abarai said simply and then he stood up.
“Let's get out of here. You need some fresh air.”
Hisagi sighted. He knew he wouldn't be able to stay if Abarai wanted to go. So he rose from his seat.
Then the two of them paid their bills and went out to a nearby park.
The conversation slipped easily from one toppic to the next and when the were drinking what seemed to be their fifth cup of tea while talking about their acadamy days, Hinamori used the chance to lead the conversation to the real subject of the evening.
“So you too meet our old friend frequently?”, she asked, an innocent smile on her face.
Kira nodded. “Not all of them, though. Just you, and Abarai...And Hisagi” He hesitaded a short second befor saying the name. He knew of the rumour so he had avoided to talk about Hisagi in the past few days.
If you knew Hinamori, and Kira did so, you could see a pleased smile and a faint grin cross her face, before she asked: “Why did you hesitate just now?”
Kira now was a bit frigthened. He knew Hinamori and her ability to tell her everything. And because of that he simply resigned himself to his fate and answered: “Everybody is talking about Hisagi and me, so I avoid the toppic lately.”
“Why that?”, she asked curiously. “Is there something the two of you have to hide, so you avoid the toppic?”
Kira shook his head. “No, we don't have something to hide.” but the way he pronounced the 'we' indicated there still was something.
Only a few persons, Hinamori was one of them, were able to see that Kira hid something behind his masks, but they couldn't see what exactly. So Hinamori simply kept on questioning her old classmate.
“So, why do you still don't talk about it?”
Kira didn't answered. He didn't want to tell anybody what he felt. They couldn't change it anyway.
“What are you afraid to tell others?”, she asked again. This time with a bit more force behind it.
When Kira kept saying nothing she sighted and her features grew warmer and a somewhat sisterlike smile appeared around he lips.
“Why are you afraid to tell me, Izuru-kun? You know I won't tell anyone else, if you don't want me to do so. I care about you, you know? And you seem to be rather stressed out lately.”
Kira sighted and smiled at Hinamori. He simply couldn't resist her caring smile and the way she seemed to be so concerned. Because he knew she truly cared.
Still he hesitated a few moments befor speaking: “Well...you see...Momo-chan...” He stopped because he didn't knew where to start.
Hinamori still smiled her warm smile and said: “You love him, don't you?”
The way those word fell from her lips so easily and the warm, loving tone he felt made him shiver.
He nodded. “yes. I...love him...”
He had problems saying those three words which are known to be the most difficult words in the world.
But the way Hinamori had said them made everything sound just right and fine. There was nothing bad in her words, no rejection and no prejudice.
She just kept smiling at him. “See, was it that much of a problem?”
Slowly Kira shook his head and waited, what Hinamori would now do. What she said made his heart stop.
“Then where is the problem in telling him in person?”
Kira looked at her in disbelief. Could she truly believe he had a chance? “Well, if I told him he'd turn me down and wouoldn't look at me again. We wouldn't be able to share a peaceful evening again. He would hate me.”
Hinamori shook her head. “How do you know that? You haven't tried, have you? Maybe he won't turn you down but feel the same for you. Then you would still be able to share a peaceful evening.”
“But...but...”Kira stammered and wanted to say something against Hinamoris 'maybe', but nothing came to his mind.
Hinamori just kept smiling at him and then said: “Let's go for a walk Izuru-kun. Fresh air will help you.”
Still a bit absent Kira nodded and after paying their bill they left for a park close by.
~~~~~~*~~~~~~

When Abarai and Hisagi entered the park Kira and Hinamori were already walking around the area and searching for a placr to sit down and watch the stars. It was an outstanding clear night.
Finally Hinamori and Kira sat down at a river bank where some flowers bloomed and the ground was dry. The talked about their friends now and Hinamori confessed, that she was in love with Hitsugaya, which made Kira very happy, but also sad, because Hinamori had, what he longed for.

Abarai and Hisagi were meanwhile walking around not bothering to look up to the stars. The just enjoyed the clean air and chattered about their divisitions and the training with these guys.
Suddenly Abarai stopped and pointed the direction in which a certain blonde sat with another person. “Look what we found. Let's take a closer look.”
And with that he dragged Hisagi along with him and sneaked closer so the could overhear the conversation.

“...said 'I love you.' And he looked all shocked and blushed and...he was just adorable when he mumbled he'd love me to.”, Hinamori was just now telling Kira about her confession to Hitsugaya and was giggling every now and then, while Kira just smiled and listened to her talking. He let himself fall back so he laid on the ground, watching the stars.
“I wish it could be that easy for me, too.”, he sighted and Hinamori just smiled a mysterious smile and stood up.
“It's in nights like this where dreams come true.”, she said and quickly walked away.

Abarai had already left a startled Hisagi and walked away, now going to share the ongoing of the evening with Hinamori.

Slowly Kira sat up and turned around. He wondered what Hinamori could have meant when he saw a puzzled and...well...drunk...Hisagi standing there looking at him as if he was a...something really strange.
Still moving slowly, as if not to destroy the moment, he rose to his feet and approached Hisagi.
The other one didn't move, simply watched Kira move closer and closer until the two of then stood chest to chest and face to face.
Kira smiled faintly and slowly, almost as if it wasn't real, he said: “H-hisagi, I...I love you.”
Then he waited, his heart beating loud in his chest while he waited for a response.
Kira could see Hisagis features morph through different emotions. Starting from startled over bewildered and stunned to shocked, and finally a smile formed on Hisagis lips and then he said, nothing more than a faint wisper: “Me too...I love you.”
Both smiled. It hadn't been that difficult at all.
Slowly Hisagi leaned down to capture Kiras lips with his, a thing he had longed to do for a timespan, that seemed like forever.
Kira smiled into the kiss, closing his eyes and leaning into Hisagis embrace.

I've been enjoying this series; it's very sweet! You really need to watch your spelling and grammar, though. I think your storied would be even better if you had that sorted out! :)

Thanks for the comment and I really try to write correct English, but it isn't my mother tounge, so it's a bit difficult to find the right words and expressions.
But I'm happy you like it nonetheless^.^

You're using the right words, I think, just some of them are typed or spelled wrong. If you're using something like Microsoft Word to write in, you can set the dictionary to English, and it will help you with that.

You have better spelling and grammar than a lot of native English speakers I've seen in some communities! :) At least you have a good reason. Some people are just lazy. :p
